About BALLAST
Who is BALLAST?
We like to think of ourselves as a good old garage band, pumping out great Rock 'n Roll music from the '60s, '70s and '80s... for the sheer fun of it! We love playing at private house parties and special events because everyone is there to have a great time, and that's what we get a kick out of!
But don't let our "garage band" description mislead you... there's a bit of hidden talent in BALLAST. In past bands and other lives, individual band members have played professionally all over San Diego (including Humphrey's and the Belly Up), released original CD's, performed musical scores for films, opened at the Whisky a Go Go in LA for Ike & Tina Turner and even played at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville!
